Today, Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida agreed not to burn the Koran's that he planned to burn on the 9th anniversary of September 11, 2001. This is a huge step for Americans. Although we have been criticized as being isolationists, it was great to see people rally against the burning. This shows that Americans are willing to accept change and will not close their doors to people of different faiths and ethnicities such as Muslims and others. This is a huge step in the right direction for our country as we try to embrace other cultures after the tragedy of 9/11.Thursday, September 9, 2010
